Gather The Prophets - Where it began

Gather the Prophets is a community of believers, to be a safe training ground for those who have or who want the gift of prophecy.

In 2024 the Lord spoke to me, Rachael, in a dream, saying 'gather the prophets and teach them to hear.'

It was an invitation which hit me with full force, which I immediately said yes to, and I began to seek Him for direction and opportunity.

To begin with, I didn't act on it. I had no position of leadership in my local church, having recently moved into the area, and felt I didn't have any platform to do this. I thought I'd wait until the Lord did something, that I could just sit there and wait, praying, and prophetic people would suddenly just turn up on my doorstep. I believed I was humbling myself, by not wanting to exalt myself, and by waiting for the Lord to open a door, until one day the Lord said to me, 'You're not being humble, you're being disobedient.'

Ouch!

He is so loving and gentle, and said this with such kindness, using the word 'disobedient' because He knows my heart is to obey Him, but I knew He had put something in my hands, which I had willingly accepted, and I was just sitting there doing nothing.

Gather is a verb, a doing word. He told me to do something, and so I took the steps to create an online community where those who have a prophetic gift could come together - to gather - to learn, to share, and to mature in our gift.

So, you probably want to know a bit more about me, and the authority in which I bring teaching around the prophetic - this is important information, and we should always do due diligence when seeking to receive teaching from someone. We need to ensure that the foundation of someone's faith is not contrary to our own, and that our teachers are seeking the Lord, holding fast to His word, and living it out.

You can read the statement of faith I hold firm to here.

I'm Rachael, married to Simon, and we live in Nottingham, UK. When I was a baby - I believe it was in my dedication - someone spoke over me that I was prophetic. I thank the Lord I have good, God-fearing parents who raised me and my brothers to know the voice of the Lord, and to understand our giftings from a young age. As I grew in my faith, I learned to tune into what was God, what was myself, and what was the enemy - the angel of light. (2 Corin 11:14)

In terms of how I hear the Lord, this is an ever-growing learning journey. I am a dreamer, most definitely, having multiple dreams every night. Rarely does a night go by when I don't have at least one dream, and over the years I've learned to discern what is from God and what is perhaps too much pizza the night before - you know the type I mean! I regularly exercise the interpretation of dreams of others and my own, and have been so amazed at how God uses dreams to share His heart with His people.

Hearing God in my everyday, waking life, has been a joy to discover, and a journey I invite you all on to discover for yourselves. More and more I am able to hear the still small voice of the Lord, and I am increasing in getting pictures and visions. The Lord has been teaching me how to hear for many years, and I know there is always more to learn - if there is ever a piece of advice I give to anyone, it is to stay teachable, even into your old age. We are all able to learn more, and I never want to reach a place where I think 'this is it, I've arrived, there's nothing more for me to learn.'

I am also a teacher, by gifting and by profession. I am a UK qualified teacher, and teach children and teens as a job, but I have always had a heart to share knowledge with others, to help people achieve something through learning. I am so thankful and humbled that the Lord has put into my hands this exciting journey of gathering prophets - mature and fresh, new prophets - to learn how to hear.

I am not the final authority on all things prophetic, so I encourage you to be open, read books, watch youtube videos, search the scriptures, as you learn about your gift, and I want to be an encouraging part of that, to share what the Lord has taught me. We are a community, and I am excited to learn something from you too.

Be blessed, and released in your gift of prophecy, in Jesus' name, and I look forward to meeting you in one of our online sessions.

Love Rachael
